Italian computer assembler Santech has announced that it is launching its first Intel Centrino platform 2 based laptop dubbed X46, by the end of June 2008.
The 15.4-inch WXGA+ laptop is meant for gamers and that's why it uses Intel Core 2 Duo processors up to 2.8GHz, up to 4GB RAM DDR2 800MHz, SATA hard drives up to 320GB at 5400RPM or up to 200GB at 7200RPM. It also includes an optical drive (DVD burner or Multi Blu-Ray).
Another hot points include the 512MB NVIDIA GeForce 9600M GT and the magnesium alloy casing with a pair of 2W speakers and microphone that makes it weigh 2.9kg.
