Four GeForce 9800 GX2 cards, to build a supercomputer

This may not be the best supercomputer we've ever seen, but it has some interesting points to look at. Researchers from the University of Antwerp used four of NVIDIA's high-end GeForce 9800 GX2 graphics cards to build a computer capable of developing new computational methods for tomography. Powered by a 1,500W power source it runs on an AMD Phenom 9850 processor, has 8GB of RAM, and a 750GB hard drive.

Dubbed FASTRA, the new system is capable of doing computations that took 1 hour before, in just a few seconds. Here is an overview:

other than that, i bet it plays games pretty good.
even with a Times Sqare sized monitor :)

Umm. How did they get four NVIDIA graphics cards to SLI. SLI only supports 3 cards max. ATI's crossfire method supports 4 cards.

THey are not using them to do video output, only 3 can be linked out. But they can access all four's GPU at the same time.
