
Because everyone needs/wants a SSD these days, Seagate is ready to please. CEO Bill Watkins told PC World yesterday that the company is planning to release their first SSD, a 2TB spinner, next year. Along with these drives Seagate is also ready to announce a couple of 2TB traditional hard drives.
I'm sure you have a question. Why so late? It's a simple answer. Until the prices won't go down to $0.10/GB, Seagate is not going to focus on consumer SSDs because they're too expensive. They have a point, don't you think?
