The buzz last week in the cellphones market was about the new Sony Ericsson XPERIA X1 which not only looks great and is smart but was supposed to run either Windows Mobile 6.5 or a pre 7.0 version. The reason I didn't tell you about was because I was waiting for more official info.

Sony Ericsson XPERIA X1 packs in the metal-finish body a 3.2 megapixel camera with auto-focus, a 3-inch clear wide VGA display (800 x 480) and a full QWERTY keyboard,  HSDPA and GPS, while working on Windows Mobile 6.1. That's a bit dissapointing because by the way it looks I was expecting it to start a new generation of Sony Ericsson mobile phones.

From what I can see in the pictures it's running a Qualcomm 7200A processor at 528 Mhz for one, 128MB of RAM, 256MB flash and a 1500mAh battery.
