New Internet Explorer 8 Beta Soon

IE.jpgWhy is Microsoft announcing more and more updates lately? Could it be because of the big buzz Apple is getting with their new releases which seem to come at regular time frames? Looks like Microsoft learned something from Apple, even if it's just marketing.

Today I've found out that the new IE 8 beta could be release very soon and I'm talking like the next four months. The new version will be mostly aimed to developers, will provide more security, additional interface options and will support web standards better.

I'd sure like to see it up and running because to be honest I'm sick and tired to get Shockwave or Flash errors when I try to install them on Internet Explorer. These and the fact that there are so many add-ons to Firefox, kept me away from using IE for the last 2 years. Maybe tha changes with IE8.

Looking forward to this ... because IE 7 is awful.

Microsoft has typically pre-announced stuff wayyyyyy in the future. They almost single-handedly invented the term "vapourware". So yeah, while it would be nice to see, I'm not holding my breath on this one.

If Microsoft is really releasing another browser so soon I pray that they adhere to Web Standards. I am so tired of tailoring websites just for IE and 6 and 7 (often not even these two match).

I think Microsoft should leave the browser business behind.

Just get Firefox

Please donate your old boxes to a church-group or some needy student in these hard times! To comply with the law, and with Microsoft's leasing policy, you can now replace Microsoft OS with the free (download from the net) Ubuntu OS, which can be set to erase the hard drive of all traces of the “illegal to give away ” Microsoft system and your private information, before donation! Now, explain to your lucky recipient that all the manuals they will ever need are available for free on the internet! Just ask for them in Google! OpenOffice, which is installed already is plenty adequate for homework assignments and with a little exploring, everything else can work well too! Happy computing!
