Now that the format war is over with Toshiba officially announcing that they will dump the HD DVD business and Blu-ray winning the fight there are many changes to come. Apparently many retailers changed prices and HD DVD players are now on sale for prices under $90 and the results are great because they've already run out of supply.
Does that mean that newbies took over the market and they don't know that Blu-ray is the new king of optic discs? They may have a reason with HD DVDs selling in the $12 to $20 range on TigerDirect or CompUSA. Other stores to have these offers are Amazon.com and CircuitCity.
What do you guys think? What will happen to HD DVD offers now?
