
Good news from Microsoft, because the announced work on Windows 7 or the 7th Windows operating system. Codenamed Blackcomb Vienna it should be released in the second half of 2009. The funny thing however is the fact that Microsoft first announced support for Windows XP until 2009 and then, came with a new date, 2014.
So what does that mean? It's known that no matter how big the Windows Vista sales are, it wasn't a success with many users sticking to their XP versions and others seeking downgrading solutions from Vista to XP.
Let's hope Windows Vienna won't be much like Vista or we'll have to use XP until 2014 when support for it ends.
