If you haven't heard so far, estimates on carriers revealed that two thirds of the total iPhones sold are legally activated. We already know that AT&T announced that they sold 2 million iPhones with a subscription plan and estimates say that Orange, O2 and T-Mobile in Europe managed to sell about 400k units (approximation).
Now if you make the math, with Steve Jobs saying they sold 3.7 million iPhones there is a big bunch (1.3 million) of unlocked phones on the market that they didn't got the incentive for. Rumors say it could be about $300 million in lost money, but who (from Apple) cares when they have so many fans and the MacBook Air is in the air?
What do you guys think?
