Another player in the ultra-light notebooks market is Lenovo. I managed to get my hands on some leaked specs of the new Lenovo X300 Series Thinkpad. It's supposed to have a 13.3-inch LED backlight WXGA+ display that does 1,440 x 900 resolutions, runs on Intel's Merom Santa Rosa Dual Core CPU at 2.6Ghz, has a 64GB SSD and up to 4GB of DDR2 PC2-5300 memory. Other features include a ultra-thin DVD burner, a fingerprint reader, Bluetooth, Verizon EV-DO Rev A and Cingular HSDPA 3.6 plus WiMAX. 
Count the 4 hours life battery and the fact that it weighs only 2.5lbs and I'm already looking everywhere I can to find a release date or the price.
