If you don't have a pack of rechargeable batteries and don't plan to buy some, I advise you to take a look at the new Panaonic EVOLTA which seems to be the longest lasting AA alkaline battery in the world. It is supposed last about 1.3 - 2 times longer than a normal AA battery cell. Don't expect it to be as cheap as others, because you will pay 15% more for the new Panasonic EVOLTA battery when it should be available from April 26th.
