I promised to come back and tell you what Steve Jobs had to say in his keynote today. Well the rumors turned out to be true. It was four things that the Apple guy wanted to talk about after saying that 2007 was a great year (investors won't agree) and here they are (after the banner :)
- Leopard. Is the best operating system, Apple ever built. They managed to sell 5 million copies in the first 3 months. Another announcement was the Time Capsule a perfect companion to Leopard, where you can easily backup your notebook wirelessly. Prices are big $299 (500GB) and $499 (1TB) with shipping in February.
- iPhone news. After exactly 200 days Apple managed to sell more than 4 million units. Yes I can do the math and that's more than 20,000 pieces each day. Now you're talking about market share.
- iTunes. After telling us that it sold 4 billion (with a B) songs, 7 million movies and 125 million TV shows we get down to it. iTunes is going to offer movie rentals for $2.99 and $3.99 (new releases).
- MacBook Air. And this is where I am all drooling. Not sure if it's the weight, the fact that it's SO THIN, the 5-hours battery but I'm telling you this is going to be a success right from the begining. Here are the things that you should know about the new MacBook Air.
