Another thing Steve Jobs announced during MacWorld was that the iPhone is smarter now. I know the 3G iPhone rumor is in the air, but there is still some juice left for us. Apple released firmware 1.1.3 upgrade for the iPhone and for the iPod Touch (from what I've heard it will cost $20) that will bring new maps view, just like Google Maps and Location triangulation.
The Location triangulation uses WiFi hotspots and GSM towers to locate you on the map. From what I understand it also has a go home function, probably when you have too many tequillas. Another strong point is the fact that you can now create up to 9 home screens and all icons on them can be rearranged, plus SMS to multi recipients. Steve Jobs also talked about iTunes mobie rentals and lyrics but I wouldn't count that much on this one.
In the end I should tell you that the iPod Touch will now support Mail, Maps, Stocks, Weather and Notes (guess you know why the $20 fee). How do you like it so far?
