Yes it's true that the MacBook Air is small enough to fit in an envelope and weighs a little bit more than air, but what about the new Fujitsu LifeBook P1620? Did you know that it's even lighter than Apple's and it starts from $1,599? It uses a new ULV 1.2GHz U7600 Core 2 Duo processor, comes with 2GB of RAM and has a 100GB hard drive and it weighs 2.2lbs.
LifeBook P1620 has a touch-sensitive 8.9-inch display that offers 1,024 x 768, a standard 3-cell battery that can last for 3.5 hours and works on XP Tablet PC while the Vista price is "nada".
Just like the MacBook Air it offers a SSD option, 32GB for $299 and a better battery (6 cells - weighs 2.5l) for $45.
In the end .. it looks like we found something lighter than THE AIR?

I tested this camera for a client. I didn’t have the light running for more than 15 minutes. The battery lasted approximately 6 hours before recharging. The LCD, however, had a few dead pixels - never saw this before. Tried returning for exchange and had to put up quite a fight. Anyone else seen this? http://www.batteryfast.co.uk
