Acer presented a new Gemstone laptop today at CES. Acer Aspire 7720 comes with a 17-inch display, could be a good solution to look away from a desktop PC, like the new LifeBook N6470 (another 17-incher). It uses a budget Intel Core 2 Duo processors at 1.66GHz but has 2GB of RAM and a GeForce 8400M GS video card with 256 MB.

It's suposed to be a computer more than a laptop but to keep it at reasonable prices. For $1,049 you get all those above, a 250GB hard drive, Dolby Home Theater for sound quality and a built-in webcam. It should be availabel in stores from today and we may do an Acer Aspire 7720 review soon.
