Touchscreens are becoming more and more popular. The big boom started with iPhone's success, that used a touchscreen and now everyone wants to have it. What I am about to tell you started when a test engineer for the Microsoft 7
project read about Dell's Latitude XT tablet PC touchscreen display, and got anxious to give a few inside tips.
Apparently, Microsoft is working on their touch technology that is supposed to smoke the iPhone users with its capabilities. Here is what the guy said:
"I will say that if you are impressed by the touch features in the iPhone, you'll be blown away by what's coming in Windows 7. Now if only we could convince more OEMs that Windows Touch Technology is going to drive their sales."
We don't have confirmation yet from Microsoft, but to be honest I am not sure if their product will be much more performant or useful than what's on the market right now.
