I don't think Apple made it a habit to do charity work, but they managed to melt my heart this time when they donated more than 100 iPods to the high school students in Poway, California. Steve Boyack, wrote to Steve Jobs about the issue and was contacted later by Michael Foulkes, Apple's senior manager for state and local government affairs, to agree with donating to the kids that lost their homes in the wildfires.

The iPod nanos will not change the fact that the Holidays won't be the same for these kids, but it's a small step and I have to congratulate Apple for doing it. As usual they didn't want to comment on the subject and announced that "It was strictly from the heart and just wanting to help."
