I've been very excited to read about inventions that can generate light with either no power sources or with a less electricity consumption. Today I've heard of MPK, a company that is "famous" for the Litrospheres which are self-luminous micro-particles they've been used in paint to get the "glow-in-the-dark" effect.The effect is similar to a 20-watt incandescent bulb and can come in any color you like.

The litrospheres, are not expensinve, non-toxic and should stay lit for over 12 years thanks to the betavoltaic technology which involves the use of a radioactive gas. Don't worry because the electron emission are under control because they cannot penetrate the glass or the polymer wall of the microspheres.

The technology developed by MPK, is not affected by heat or cold, can resist up to 5000 pounds pressure and should go into more testing soon enough.
