Make sure you have a pen and a piece of paper if you're ready to find out more about the companies that are ready to bid on FCC's auction in January (on 24th) for the 700MHz spectrum. Apparently the 700MHz C Block has a minimum bid of $4.6 billion but let's see who's in the race: AT&T (NYSE:T), Google (Nasdaq:GOOG), Cox Communication, Frontline and Verizon (NYSE:VZ).
Lots of other companies announced they don't plan to bid on any pieces of pie, like Sprint that's working on making WiMax a better experience, T-Mobile with their problems and other that aren't convinced of how profitable it will be. Include Time Warner or Comcast in this category.
