Great stuff from Toshiba, because I've just found out they can pack 3,840x2,400 resolutions on their new WQUXGA 22-inch LCD monitor. As is, it sounds pretty awesome and I am sure a few of you guys would want to get your games on this little one but I have something else to say. How about the 300:1 contrast rates? I'll have to agree that's not impressive.
But let's get down to business. To have it on your table you'll have to pay about $18,000 for the new WQUXGA 22-inch monitor and another $2,700to buy yourself a compatible PCI card. Is it worth it? I say not yet, because Gizmodo found a 22-inch WQUXGA monitor by ADTX and the pricei is $1,700 though I can't say if it's doing 3,840x2,400 or not.
