
It looks like everyone would like to pick on Negroponte's project, the One Laptop Per Child program, be it the $186 price when they had $100 in mind at first, or the fact that some producers may have a similar product, right now.
Joy of Tech managed to do a snapshot of what's going on now and what will happen one year later when the kids will have their hands on it and the shortcomings are real:
- the need for an upgrade
- most of them will use games and chatting software
- needs a good bandwidth to access the internet
- pornography?
