It looks like Tokyo's Odaiba Ferris Wheel will not take all the attention for Wheel lovers because China announced they will be buidling the "Great Wheel of China" in Beijing which will be tallest in the world because it's 680 feet high. The construction began yesterday (Monday, 5th of November 2007) and should be ready in 2009.

If you may think the only attraction is the fact that it's the tallest in the world, you may be right, but here is another reason to step up. It has 48 cabins (gondola style) with air conditioning, that can hold 40 people. I'm sure there will be people dissapointed because this huge Ferris won't be ready for next summer's Olympics in Beijing.
