
They already have Gmail that gives more and more storage space, GoogleDocuments to read or write your documents, but gDisk is about something else. It's a service that allows you to keep everything you need, songs, videos, important documents and so on, and you can access them simply by using your password. The best thing is it should be free.
Google declined to comment about gDisk but said that "storage is an important component of making Web [applications] fit easily into consumers' and business users' lives" and from what I know they already offer paid services if you're interested, but offering it for free would only make a better know of their services and would deliver more advertising.
