Fujitsu managed to develop the 320GB notebook drive, which is the biggest commercially available laptop HDD so far for those that need to store more and more files, like a HD movie or pictures from the last vacation taken with the DSLR camera of your choice.
Fujitsu MHZ2 BH series will use the perpendicular magnetic recording technology and would take 12ms to read and 14ms to write. Two most important things about a hard drive apart the storage capacity are how fast it is, with this one going up to 300MBps thanks to a 3GBps SATA interface and how much power would it consume off the battery and Fujitsu said it offers the best-in-class power consumption figures.
It will be available from February 2008 for an undisclosed price.
