Do you remember when I said the partnership between Donald Trump and Verizon (NYSE:VZ) to deliver FiOS to his buildings is more about advertising rather than bringing a great service? I think I was right because, we have Verizon here today to put an end to all the rumors that said they are slow, by launching FiOS 20/20 Internet Service.
Funny name, I agree, but it stands for 20Mb download speeds and 20Mb upload speeds and should "redefine fast". Verizon is really dancing on this one because this is the first commercial all-digital, all-fiber network. I have to agree with their boardband solution VP that said by now we all measured how fast a connection depending on downloads, but this should change with FiOS 20/20 that will offer the same for uploads.
It will take you 20 minutes to get or put up 3GB of data and $65 a month out of your pocket to have it in you home if you live in New York, New Jersey and Connecticut. Verizon also promised to connect other 13 states "soon".
