The British carrier Three (3) will be releasing a Skypephone that will allow to make free VoIP phone calls to other Skype users but not to dial regular numbers. So to make it clear, you do get to call regular numbers which
won't go through Skype, but on 3's regular network with normal rates.
The Skypephone released by 3 has almost all the features you have in a normal phone, like a mobile Internet browser, games or TV watching and music downloading, and the British consider that the sales will hit "several hundred thousand" units worldwide in the fourth quarter of 2007. It should be available in UK on November 2nd with two service plans: pay-as-you-go and the phone will be £50 ($102) or a contract which makes it free.
Next countries on the list are Australia and Italy, among others.
