Last week SanDisk announced that they will start shipping the newest 8GB micro SHDC and M2 flash memory cards with a direct target on cellular phones users that need more and more storage capacities to keep the videos and pictures that a mobile phone these days can take.
Apparently SanDisk is running a "slot education" campaign because they want to make people aware of the need of having a card slot in every mobile phone that gets released and what benefits you have for doing so. They also call it the "Wake up your phone" campaign. If I got your attention, you should konw the two new flash memory cards, micro-SHDC and M2, should be able to store more than 5,000 pictures, over 2,000 songs or over 5 hours of high-quality MPEG 4 video recording/playing.
One last thing. Prices for the 8GB flash memory cards should be somewhere around $140 for micro-SHDC and $150 for M2.
