Today was a big day for Olympus because they've made their E-3 Digital SLR cameras official and the cost is $1,699 but that won't include the lens. Olympus E-3 DSLR is a 10 megapixel camera with a Live MOS image sensor that delivers high-res and live previews, has an integrated mechanical image stabilizer and has a magnesium alloy body that won't damage from weather conditions.
Olympus is also bragging about having the world's fastest autofocus camera, in the world, if it's used their Zuiko Supersonic lenses like ED 12-60mm f2.8-4.0 (24-120mm equivalent). "AF accuracy is further ensured by precise alignment of the optical axis from the lens to the AF phase detection sensors, and accurate mounting of the sensors within the AF unit", the press release announced.
