Announced for the first time in 2005, Nissan Pivo was a great concept back then because it was all electric and there was no need to change into reverse, because the cabin would rotate 360 degrees.

 

However there are new things Nissan brings with their new concept of an egg-shaped car, Pivo 2, that are worth mentioning. Nissan Pivo 2 can now move even sideways, thanks to the in-wheels motors that replace the axles on Pivo 1. It has a Robotic Agent on the dashboard, with funny big eyes, that has voice recognition software so that you can have a conversation with it in English or Japanese or to tell you that  "You look tired. There's a coffee shop 500 metres ahead on the left", like it did in a recent demonstration with a sleepy driver.
