Motorola is trying to gain market share in the luxury products area after announcing Motorola RAZR 2 V8 "Luxury Edition", and is running behind Vertu, Nokia's luxury division, which managed to launch a few in the last couple of months.
The new RAZR 2 V8 Luxury Edition, has a black "vacuum metal" case with snakeskin texture on the back, a hardened front glass and 18 / 24 karat gold finishings. It also features "an engraved diamond-cut patter on sideband and laser-etched details on the navigation wheel" Motorola announced.
Enough with the design and let's get down to what it can do besides stunning your friends with it looks and price: 2-inch external coloured display which is two times bigger than the old RAZR, 2 megapixel camera with 8X digital zoom, built-in 2GB memory, full HTML browser (Opera Mobile 8.5), high speed USB, integrated Bluetooth and Linux OS.
It should be out by the end of the year, so stay focused.
