In-flight WiFi is no longer new, because we've heard of it so many times. There is something else in the buzz today. Japan took a fierce decision and banned any gaming systems that use wireless connections, like Sony's Playstation or Nintendo's DS.

"Passengers on commercial planes are no longer allowed to play games using wireless connection with handheld consoles [ ... ]came into effect Monday" announced JapanToday.

 

The law is resonable because wireless waves may interfere with on-board devices providing pilots with false informations which is not very good. Along with the handheld games, wireless computer mice and headphones are also banned from using during the whole time on board. I wonder if other big companies will take the same steps in keeping the flights safer and if that decision will make the passengers read.
