Microsoft is trying to develop a new system of hands-free text messaging to prevent accidents caused by absent-minded drivers, by teaming up with Nuance, a company that develops voice recognition software. Apparently Microsoft is ready to work on their own piece of software that should be used with Microsoft Sync.

 

Safety behind the wheel should be a common goal for both car and gadgets manufacturers because only a law will not convince drivers to pay attention to the road. The new software Microsoft is building will allow you to dictate the message you're about to send. Thoug the idea is great I wonder if you still need to search for the contact and hit send, or the program does that all?

 

The software will be available early 2008 on Ford cars that already get Microsoft Sync by then.
