News in the market announced that Gateway is releasing their own 30-inch display, and they consider it "world's first quad HD display" on the market. This could be right and if you count the 2,560 x 1,600 resolution, I think Gateway XHD3000 has lots of muscles to make the price fair.
Let's take a closer look at the specs to see what you get if you buy it.
- 6 USB 2.0 sockets
- audio connectors and composite S-Video
- 1 HDMI, VGA and DVI ports
- a Silicon Optix Realta HQV video processor and 400 cd/m2 display brightness
- 1000:1 contrast ratios
- 2500 x 1600 native resolution, 1600p
If you are going to buy it then prepare $1,699 and keep in mind that Gateway XHD3000 is a great monitor and less of an LCD display, gives off lots of heat. You should also see the good things here, like connecting your PSP, iPod, Wii or a Mac. If you need to know more read a full verdict on Gizmodo.
