For me choosing a digital camera was the hardest "choice" I've ever had to do in the world of gadgets, because if a slow laptop can be upgraded with more RAM memory or a bigger hard drive, you cannot modify a digital camera.
It's time for a new review of digital cameras, and today we've stopped on the new Canon SD950 IS, called IXUS 960 IS outside the United States. First thing that I can think of are those 12 megapixels which is a lot for a camera of this size, and the design that can slip easily in my pocket.
Canon SD950 IS PROs:
- Sleek titanium casing - doesn't mean you should bang it to the floor.
- Superb image quality at lower ISOs, with well satturated and accurate colors
- Optical Image Stabilization to prevent image blur when your hands are shaking
- Face detection brings super clear iamges focused on people.
- Optical viewfinder
Canon SD950 IS CONs
- No controls for manual exposure
- From ISO 400 noise become noticeable but prints are still good
- Because of the 12 megapixels, the camera is slow.
