Apparently, Apple bought all the 3.2 GHz Penryn Xeon ("Harpertown") processors from Intel with a faster bus, set at 1600MHz and with 12MB L2 cache, which I am sure wasn't cheap, for their new line of Mac Pros, or at least that's what The Inquirer announced.
This wouldn't be the first time when Apple books a whole line of processors but now they want high-end processors. As I know Apple, they'll leave it hanged somewhere and confirm it in a few weeks or a month, just to get some exposure first.
