I was never aware that there are small devices smart enough to give you the local weather forecast for the next five or seven days, but after reading on SlashGear it looks like Ambient Devices has done it. Their 5-day and 7-day Forecaster will "receive updates from weather sources throughout the day via the Ambient Infocast Network" for 150 US locations.

 

When I said these devices are smart I really meant it. The screen color turns blue for cold and red for warm, you can see the time, UV index information, wind speed and direction, pollen alerts and air quality levels. The "5-day Forecaster" is 4x4-inch big and the "7-day Forecaster" is 6x6-inch big with prices of $150, and $200 respectively.
