Western Digital Scorpio with 2.5-mm technology is really shipping

We've covered the 320GB hard drives news with 2.5-mm technology, a few months ago when we heard Toshiba was working on a SATA 3 Gbps interface at 5400rpm on their MK-GSX series. So far, no one was able to really produce it and ship the new 2.5-mm hard drive that keeps 320GB of data, but Western Digital is commited to changing this on the new model, the Scorpio that should be a very quiet and low power consumer because it uses the WhisperDrive (WD) an IntelliSeek technology.

western-digital-scorpio-320gb.jpg
If you think it's time to change your notebook's hard drive and you need lots of space then I guess the first one to get hands on, will be Western Digital's version. Prepare to pay about $200 for WD Scorpio and give us a shout if you do because I think that's a bargain.
