Oct31	Western Digital Scorpio with 2.5-mm technology is really shipping Alex Ion October 31, 2007 Know More: Storage 2.0, Storage We've covered the 320GB hard drives news with 2.5-mm technology, a few months ago when we heard Toshiba was working on a SATA 3 Gbps interface at 5400rpm on their MK-GSX series. So far, no one was able to really produce it and ship the new 2.5-mm hard drive that keeps 320GB of data, but Western Digital is commited to changing this on the new model, the Scorpio that should be a very quiet and low power consumer because it uses the WhisperDrive (WD) an IntelliSeek technology. If you think it's time to change your notebook's hard drive and you need lots of space then I guess the first one to get hands on, will be Western Digital's version. So far, no one was able to really produce it and ship the new 2.5-mm hard drive that keeps 320GB of data, but Western Digital is commited to changing this on the new model, the Scorpio that should be a very quiet and low power consumer because it uses the WhisperDrive (WD) an IntelliSeek technology. If you think it's time to change your notebook's hard drive and you need lots of space then I guess the first one to get hands on, will be Western Digital's version.
