Nippon Airways are getting smart. The Japanese Airways company is ready to implement into their systems a wireless check-in technology that will be tested next month and then the verdict will say if it's staying or not.
Actually you're buying your ticket online, and then download some kind of a code to either your telephone or a microchip that contains personal info. All you need to do is wave your phone or the special card and voila, you're in. There are a lot of cons that I can see reagarding security but let's hope Nippon Airways thought of everything, because we now live in a world where terrorists love planes.
My last comment would be, what's the difference between a ticket you can print with bars that you later wave to a reader, technology that's been around for some time now and the code you download on your mobile phone? I guess the Japanese really want to make cellphones, the biggest invention in the world.
