Fujitsu LifeBook U810 was announced in August for the price of $999 and it's now that we found out the review is already live. For that kind of money you get a really good laptop/convertible tablet PC clamshell. But let's get into details:
Fujitsu LifeBook U810 PROs
- a four cell battery to give it power for a longer time
- sharp 5.6-inch Crystal View SFGA display
- built-in microphone and external volume button on the side
- SD and CompactFlash card slots
- WiFi connectivity
- dimensions are 6.7 x 6 x 1-inch and it only weighs 0.72 kg
Fujitsu LifeBook U810 CONs
- there are a lot of buttons and controls and your hands may not like it because navigation becomes funny
- 0.3 megapixel camera (maybe 1.3 would have been good)
- only one USB port
- 800MHz Intel A110 processor that may not get you the best performance ever
- no mobile broadband.
If you think of a new version of the LifeBook U810 that will be upgraded in February 2008 with HSDPA and the $999 price tag, no wonder that it got a 3.5 out of 5.
