I am not sure if you are familiar with the strike in New York City over the GPS unit system that should be implemented to track down every registered cab they have. All these started two weeks ago when thousands of cab drivers blocked the streets to make their protest heard.
However, it looks like they won't stop only with envading the streets but it's now at a higher level, because the elaborate GPS system that will tell exactly where each driver stopped or ate, is being sent to court and the motive is that "Each taxi driver regards his or her own pattern as proprietary".
If I would be someone that would jump into a cab, believe me I would really like the authorities to know where my taxi is going to or where did it came from. Oh and I forgot to tell you that the system will bring credit cards, television and text messaging in-cars. And they want it voted against ...
