Aptera electric three-wheeler accepting pre-orders

That time of the week when I congratulate some companies for taking measure to protect our environment with greener products. Aptera is apparently ready to release a product announced over a year ago, an electric three wheels vehicle.

aptera_all_electric_vehicle.jpg
Their website is stating that by paying $500, you can make a reservation for an electric vehicle or a diesel hybrid model and their arguments are the specifications and a REALLY working prototype that eats up 230mpg while doing 55mph. That, I must say, is a great achievement if I add that it can do 0 to 60 in 10seconds I am sure there are a few of us that couldn't wait for the launch till March 2008.

I am not sure what I like more, the alien design or the $20,000 price that could buy me a vehicle that won't harm the environment?
