Is there a reason why GPS manufacturers should only work to satisfy car drivers? Of course not, and TomTom have thought of that. There are lots of motorcycles in the world and it's becoming a trend to go to work on a scooter, because it has a lower fuel consumption and because you get to move faster. So TomTom is unveiling their newest TomTom RIDER GPS unit for motorcycles, the 2nd edition.
I like their new motto "designed for bikers by bikers". It says a lot about how important each product is when it hits the market. TomTom RIDER 2nd edition comes with a new waterproof design, a new rugged "RAM" mount and bike dock, a pre-loaded 1GB SD card with US and Canada maps, is 2-inches thick and shows all your needed info on the 3.5-inch QVGA touchscreen.
One last thing that I would need as a biker would be, answering phone calls while driving. RIDER 2nd edition has it, thanks to the in-helmet Bluetooth headset. As you can see it's a beauty, but so is the price: $700.
