
Unless you were in a coma you know that yesterday saw the launch of the new Apple iMac.
The new
all-in-one iMac is offered in 20' and 24' widescreen display with a sleek aluminum casing, replacing the white plastic facade that defined Apple laptops for years. The new iMac features Intel Core 2 Duo processors, a .33 inches thin keyboard, ATI’s Radeon HD 2600 PRO with 256MB of GDDR3 memory and the ATI Radeon HD 2400 XT with 128MB of GDDR3 memory built in, iSight video camera and iLife'08. Also offered is up to 1TB of internal storage.
The 20' iMac is offered at $1,199 and the 24' at $1,799. $400 and $200, respectively, less than previous models.
When announcing the new products, Apple Chief Executive Steve Jobs said "The iMac has been very successful for us and we want to make it even better."
