It's becoming a trend for people to buy semi-professional digital cameras and take hundreds of pictures a day while on vacation. I got myself a Fuji FinePix S6500 (or S6000) and I have 4.5GB less space on my laptop after a 12 days vacation. However let's talk about the subject because we got announcements from Sony.
Sony Cyber-shot DSC-H3 is a super zoom camera that features 10x Carl Zeiss Vario-Tessar lens, 8.1 megapixel sensor, goes up to ISO 3200, a very much appreciated "Super Steady Shot" optical image stabilization and can give you 1080p quality if you connect it to a HDTV through the AV terminal ($40 for the cable). It has a good long range flash, has face detection technology, a 2.5 inch display
If you have a Sony Bravia, then you're lucky. The new Sony Cybershot DSC-H3 comes with a smart "Photo TV HD"mode that will optimize your pictures for better viewing.
The camera will start shipping next month and the price is $300. Meanwhile you can start your pre-order, on August 23rd.
