
A new line-up of models, Aquos HD1, will be launched soon by Sharp UK, and may not reach the United States borders. However,it will set some standards for the next generation of LCDs with 1080p that Sharp will release to the market.
Now related to what the new Aquos HD1 series offer here they are.

- 46 and 52-inch models, with High Definition and 1920×1080 Pixels
- 15,000:1 Dynamic contrast and 3000:1 Panel contrast
- 4ms response time
- Built-In Freeview Digital Tuner
- 2 HDMI terminal
- USB photo viewer
- Dolby Virtual Surround Universal Remote
Now if you ask me this sounds really great but we are waiting for a little bit more info from Sharp, like the price. SharpNews.co.uk announced all of these new models, Aquos XL2 Series, Aquos X20 Series and Aquos HD1 Series, at IFA. XL2 and X20 will be available from September 2007 and HD1 Series from Octomber 2007, so let's wait and see if they come to US.
