In a market where everyone needs to convince iPod users to use their products, we have a new clock radio from RCA Audio. RCA RP5500i comes with an universal dock for iPod, big LED digits, USB connectivity and an FM/AM tuner.
There are additional functions that would make me buy it, like, auto time set, those 2 levels of brightness control, the high performance sound system as RCA states, the pgrammable snooze and of course waking up on iPod, alarm, radio or USB device. Now if you ask me if I would wake up on waltz (from my iPod) or on a hardrock band on the radio, I choose the first.
I see some negative things on the new RCA RP5500i and I can include the design in here. Not sure if it's only me but it looks cheap (see the RCA in the left corner). However, for $70 you get a lot of useful functions and a classic design.
