If you guys are like me when you drive what I am about to tell you is great news. I get really annoyed when I can't put my cellphone or PDA in a place where it won't get banged and banged. I tried lots of accessories be it from Nokia or guys copying their products, which sometime work really well but to be honest, man they are ugly.
Today I found a magnetic dashboard mount from Proporta with a very elegant design that would do exactly what I need: holding my gear. It has a very very powerful magnet that will do the job right and sticks to your dashboard thanks to the 3M adhesive.
Feel safe to use the magnetic sticky pad to hold your devices that work with flash memory because it won't have any bad effects to it. However if you rely on a hard disk (how about those 5GB iPods) you may want to keep it away or you may suffer from data loss.
The price is $25.95 and I will give it a thumbs up to hold my mobile phone, because of the design. Great job.
