
iPhone's touch screen seems to be having a problem. Apple's discussion boards had some of its posters complaining that they were experiencing "dead spots" on their phone's screen. This is obviously a major problem since the operation of the iPhone relies almost completely on touch-screen input.
It appears that Apple is, or will be, replacing the defective phones without much hassle.
This is the 2nd known hardware problem affecting the iPhone since it's release in June. The first was a high number of AC adapter failures which prevented some phones from recharging.
