Announced for retail in the US a couple of weeks ago, Acer announced the official availability in the North America for two laptops with Gemstone chassis designs: Acer Aspire 4710 and Acer Aspire 5920.
Acer Aspire 5920 is running on Intel Core 2 Duo processors, a big 15-inch WXGA TFT display, 256MB NVIDIA GeForce 8600M-GT graphics card and has CrystalBrite Technology. It also features a HDMI port and HD DVD drive, Acer's Bluetooth VoIP phone, wireless connectivity - 802.11a/g/n, a 5 in 1 media reader, and the great V.92 modem. Now this Aspire 5920 is a powerful baby, and buying it will cost you $1,999. Go ahead and buy it if you need extreme performance.
About Acer Aspire 4710 you should know it's only 14-inch big, runs on Core 2 Duo processors, too, with Vista Home Premium and features a Dolby-certified sound system and a built-in CrystalEye webcam. However, the price for the new Aspire 4710 is only $599, which makes it far more accessible if you're not demanding high class from your notebook.
