
Interesting article over at The Register. it states how cameraphone technology is faster in its adoption of newer technology such as red eye reduction and flash power. This makes sense too, as there is a bigger area of improvement with cameras on phones than there is with traditional point and shoots. The latter is concentrating on features that ironically, other camera phones have such as Bluetooth connectivity, GPS, and WiFi.
Will the cameraphone dethrone the point and shoot camera? I guess this will depend on how fast the consumer market will adopt newer cellphones - and this seems most likely as it doesn't take a pro to know that people change phones faster than they change cameras.
