It seems that Microsoft wants some of the QR code action that's floating around the physical world connection. Dubbed as the Windows Live Barcode, Microsoft plans to use these in conjunction with Windows Mobile handheld cameras.

QR codes, in brief, are 2D barcodes that store a wealth of information - be it a link to a website, an audio or video file or anything digital that can fit a URL. QR codes are basically embedded URLs that connect the Internet with the physical world.
